Forma

About

Why Forma exists.

Forma was built to answer one question every morning: given what I did yesterday and how I slept, what should I do today?

The problem

Training lives in one app. Food lives in another. Neither one talks to the other, and neither one knows what the other saw.

So you end up with two tidy histories and no answer. The training app doesn't know you under-ate yesterday. The food app doesn't know you squatted heavy. Both will happily show you a streak while you walk into a session you have no business doing.

Nothing in that stack tells you what to do about any of it. That judgement is left entirely to you, on the morning you are least equipped to make it.

What Forma does differently

One loop, one app. Your training informs your nutrition targets. Your nutrition informs your readiness. Your readiness decides your training.

That only works if the same app sees all three, which is why Forma isn't a log with a coach bolted on. The coach reads the logs before it says anything, and the score it quotes is the same one on your home screen. If the number and the advice ever disagree, one of them is wrong.

Who built it

Forma is built by one person, and it was built first as something to use personally — the readiness score exists because its author wanted an honest answer to that morning question, not a motivational one.

That is also why it refuses to flatter you. A score you can inflate by logging well is a score that stops being useful the moment you need it most.
